About MassBank
What is MassBank?
This site presents the database of comprehensive, high-resolution mass spectra of metabolites.
Supported by the JST-BIRD project, it offers various query methods for standard spectra from Keio Univ., RIKEN PSC, and others.
In 2008, MassBank was authorized as the official mass spectral database of The Mass Spectrometory Society of Japan.
Features
- Distributed database
- High precision and accurate mass spectra of primary metabolites and secondary metabolites
- Mass spectral search by exact m/z and browsing interface
- Search for merged spectra
A merged spectrum is generated from spectra of the identical compound measured in different CID conditions.
The MassBank Record for each merged spectrum includes information of its original spectra.
Hardware & Software Requirements
The following platform is required to fully excercise the MassBank services.
- Web browser is Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox 2 or higher
- Permit JavaScript to be processed
- Turn off a pop-up blocker
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) ver.1.5 or later
The Meiryo font is reccomended for a fine look of MassBank Home Page.
